Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is an Mexican singer and musician born into a family of musicians. Growing up, she listened to lots of classical music and older boleros. Also, she listened to traditional ranchero and romantic ballads. Ana loves Tangos. Additionally, she enjoys operas, and every form of drama. Ana began learning to play and sing at an early age alongside her mother. She received more formal singing instruction when she reached the age of 16 old under the famous Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. She furthered her training in music at the School of Music of Guadalajara University, and then the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. When she was a student, as well being a young professional in Mexico City and Guadalajara she performed with various chamber groups and choirs. Following her move to America, United States, she performed in the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. In 2002 she moved to Southern California. She is currently performing the traditional Latin American songs at private concerts as a singer. As a local performer and instructor the passion for arts and music keeps her engaged in a wide range of initiatives. Ana has been a part of the Community Chorus of Redlands (as well being a member of the Inland Master Chorale) and Performance Loft. Ana hopes that with her performance songs from Latin American traditional songs, that she will inspire a love, especially among the younger generation in keeping the music alive.
