Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The Latin Pop mainstream is influenced through his worldwide impact. In 2017 his hit track from 2016, Una Lady Como Tu won the Colombian Kids Choice Award Favorite Song. His debut album ADN was issued through La Industria Inc., which is a Medellin-based Sony distribution company. It peaked at number eight on the Top Latin Albums chart. Vaina Loca was an instant Top Five hit for Ozuna and him the year after. The group released Dopamina, his chart-topping sophomore album in the years following. Later in 2021, he performed in a duet with TINI on her streaming smash track Maldita Foto. A 2023 release of 2000 with the massively popular La Bachata. Turizo was brought up in a musical environment, since both his mom and older brother are professional musicians. He has said in interviews that music is a must. In his early years, he learned to play the saxophone and as well as piano and ukulele. Although his first choice of career was becoming a vet, the brother Julian encouraged him to enroll in singing lessons with the help of a Cuban instructor and as a consequence of him discovering his gift in the field of singing changed his entire life.
