Rosalia
Rosalia Vila also known as Rosalia is an Spanish flamenco and pop performer. When she was a teenager she was involved both in traditional and popular music. Her music interests have widened to include soul, hip-hop and hip-hop. Guitarist from Flamenco Pepe habichuela characterized her voice as sweet and sharp, however she still featuring the sharpness of older singers. El Mal Querer was her big commercial and critical hit in the year 2018. Following the release of Los Angeles garnered her attention as well as a Latin Grammy Nomination for Best New Artist and it was a top hit on the Billboard charts of Latin Pop Albums and she won a Grammy. In 2021, her single La Fama with The Weeknd was released. Her third long-player Motomami offered songwriting collaborations with numerous producers and artists such as Cory Henry and James Blake. The release date was the 20th of March, 2022 in the wake of the live performance of Chicken Teriyaki by Saturday Night Live. Rosalia was the first Spanish solo artist to perform on Saturday Night Live. Along with taking home three more Latin Grammy Awards for Motomami Rosalia was also the first female to be awarded this award twice. Latin Album of the Year twice.
