Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri dixit is an acclaimed Indian actress who is best famous for her role in Beta Saajan and Hum Aapke Hain Koun and Beta Saajan. Her first fame was her 1980s role in Tezaab, in which she co-starred with an established actor Anil Koopor. Then she appeared in the film Dil In which she shared the screen with Aamir Khan. When she was a kid she began studying at a very early age. She started acting when an infant and was struggling for several years because the majority of her first film projects were unsuccessful. In the end, she was one of the most famous actresses in Indian film. The actress took a hiatus from her profession due to her marriage, before going back to the world of entertainment. Recently, she played an important role on the film Gulaab Gang. The film was about struggles faced by women across India. Dixit has been nominated for 15 Filmfare Awards. Of these, she has won 8. Padma Shri is the fourth highest civilian honour in India. Her reputation also includes as a social activist.
